On 27 March 2002 the ACCC was asked by Senator the Hon Ian Campbell, Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer, to update the Commission’s March 2002 Insurance industry market pricing review.
This second insurance review, in addition to updating market performance and premium information, also analyses the public liability and professional indemnity insurance sectors and provides an account of how the events of 11 September 2001 and the liquidation of the HIH Group have affected the general insurance industry.
