Fair.com: a guide to advertising and promoting internet services

A thumbnail of the cover of this publication

Date published: 30th June 2006

The rapid growth in internet use has lead to a rise in complaints and inquiries about internet service providers (ISPs). Misleading advertising placed by ISPs may misrepresent the price of internet access and fail to disclose all material conditions of offers. It is in the interests of ISPs to have a thorough understanding of emerging issues in the industry and their rights and obligations under the Trade Practices Act.  This concise brochure identifies some important points for ISPs to consider when planning their advertising.
