The AMTA is a professional body representing the mobile telecommunications industry in Australia. AMTA provides general information to consumers on issues such as mobile phone recycling, health and safety issues, consumer protection and mobile phone theft. Consumers are encouraged to settle disputes with the organisation involved, or as a last resort throught the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman.
