Bicycle Industries Australia Ltd. (BIA) is a member organisation comprising businesses which supply goods or services to bicycle retailers in Australia. Members include wholesalers, importers and manufacturers of bicycles, parts and accessories. Members also include publishers of cycling magazines, and service providers such as insurance brokers.
BIA provides advice to its members on standards, consumer and trade practices matters, encourages improved quality of services provided by the industry. BIA represents the industry to governments, relevant agencies & organisations. It also represents the industry to government on Standards committeses. BIA provides oversight of the Cycling Promotion Fund. BIA provides a point of referral and information for the general public. It also makes submissions to governments, the media and others on matters concerning bicycle related issues including standards, promotion, facilities and cycling culture.
