The Department of Territory and Municipal Services (TAMS) was formed on 1 July 2006 when Urban Services, Environment ACT, Australian Capital Tourism, Sport and Recreation ACT, ACTION, Canberra Stadiums and parts of the Office of Sustainability merged into a single department to provide services that Canberra people use all the time. The Department can assist with information on the ACT's, community events, car registrations, our tourism, sports and sportsgrounds, parks, public transport, our environment, recycling, bike paths or other community services.
