Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
Description
The RANZCP is the principal body representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australasia and has responsibility for training, examining and awarding the qualifications of Fellowship of the College to medical practitioners. The College acts as a conduit for complaints to the relevant Medical Tribunal or Board or Health Care Complaints organisation in Australia and New Zealand. The College is developing a document in consultation with stakeholders in the area, that explains the complaint resolution process and the role of the respective bodies at national, State and Territory level. The document will be available on request to anyone who is concerned about the treatment they have received from a psychiatrist.
