The Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) is the national Association of the profession, with branches in each State and Territory. The precursor of DAA, the Australian Association of Dietitians, was established in 1976. The Association became known as DAA in 1983. DAA represents approximately 3,300 members. Dietitians are employed in a wide variety of work areas including clinical dietetics, community nutrition, education, private sector, government, research and industry.
