The Australian Bankers’ Association (ABA) is the national organisation of licensed banks in Australia. The ABA works with its members to provide analysis, advice and advocacy and contributes to the development of public policy on banking and other financial services. The ABA works to ensure the banking system can continue to deliver the benefits of competition to Australian banking customers. ABA members adhere to Codes of Practice which aim to protect bank customers. The ABA also makes available speakers for community groups to talk about banking at ATM's, at the supermarket, on the telephone or on the Internet. Customer information and easy to read fact sheets about various aspects of banking can be found on the ABA website.
