The Pharmacy Board is NOW the Pharmacy Regulation Authority SA is responsible for the registration and professional discipline of pharmacists. It exercises a general oversight role over the standards of the practice of pharmacy under the Pharmacists Act 1991. It keeps the law relating to pharmacy under review and makes recommendations to the Minister with respect to that law. Complaints about particular pharmacies can be directed to PRASA.
New legislation states that EACH state is responsible for their OWN Registration and discipline of pharmacists. Pharmacy Regulation Authority or PRASA is ONLY responsible for Pharmacies, Pharmacy Companies, Depots and Hospitals.
