Standards Australia is a registered company which sets and administers over 6,000 Standards in relation to the manufacturing of products within Australia. It sets the Standards as a result of research on product safety and links with other global standards bodies. The Standards set are not enforceable unless the Minister chooses to make them so (Eg. parts of the standard for children's nightwear are enforceable).
