Launceston Community Legal Centre

Description

Launceston Community Legal Centre is a community organisation that aims to foster community awareness of the law, make the law more equitable and accessible to the public and to provide free legal advice and referral for the general public in Central and North East Tasmania. LCLC has Welfare Rights, Disability Discrimination and Fair Work advocates as well as a general civil solicitor and family law solicitor. LCLC is one of over 400 community legal centres in Australia. LCLC solicitors undertake outreach on a regular basis to communities at Beaconsfield, Campbell Town, Deloraine, Exeter, Fingal, George Town, Scottsdale and St Helens. The LCLC community "legal literacy" service assists people to understand and complete documents and forms of all kinds at local community houses.
