The Legal Services Commission is an independent statutory body that deals with complaints about the conduct of solicitors, barristers and law practice employees. Its purpose is to promote and protect the rights of legal consumers in their dealings with legal practitioners and law practice employees in Queensland. It is responsible for ensuring that complaints are dealt with fairly, efficiently and independently of the legal profession. It is also responsible, when the evidence after investigation warrants it, for initiating disciplinary action against legal practitioners and law practice employees for unsatisfactory professional conduct or professional misconduct.
Brisbane callers should use the direct number while country callers should use the Hotline number.
