The Commissioner is an independent and impartial person who assists in the resolution of complaints in relation to the health sector. Health care providers include mainstream services provided by dentists, doctors, nurses, hospitals, allied health professionals and alternative/complementary services such as natural therapy, herbal therapy, acupuncture and therapeutic massage (private or public service). Community services include services for aged people and services for people with a disability (public or private).
