The Local Government Association of NSW and the Shires Association of NSW are the peak industry bodies for Local Government in NSW. They have about 60 joint staff who implement Executive and Conference decisions and provide research support for the policy positions and standing committees of both Associations. They provide services and leadership relevant to the needs of member Councils.
