The Dental Board of Tasmania is the body responsible for registration of Dentists, Dental Therapists and Dental Hygienists in Tasmania. In addition to administering the scheme of registration, the Dental Practitioners Registration Act 2001 also charges the Board with responsibility for: monitoring the standard and provision of dental services in Tasmania and investigating complaints and, as necessary, undertaking disciplinary action against registered practitioners, and monitoring standards of education and training for dentists, dental therapists and dental hygienists.
