The Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (Qld South) Ltd is a non-profit, community based Indigenous organisation responsible to the community for the provision of legal representation in areas of criminal, civil and family law under a contract for services with the Federal Attorney General's Department commencing 30 June 2005. Under the newly incorporated structure, there are 11 regional offices staffed with a full complement of legal, field and administration staff and 7 outposts located in outlying areas manned by field officers.
