6th Asian and Oceanic antimonopoly conference

The conference was held at the Old Parliament House, Canberra.

Conference details

The conference attracted a wide range of high ranking officials from competition agencies throughout the Asian and Oceanic region and was aimed at facilitating discussion on issues relating to international competition policy and law and establishing greater cooperation between competition agencies and regulators in the region.

The two day conference included updates from each participant country on the development of their competition policy and law as well as specific sessions on topical issues and a guest report from a representative of the World Bank.

A great deal of discussion also focussed on the possible future direction of the forum in promoting and enhancing competition policy and law in the region.
