The purpose of this statement is to record publicly the commitment of Estee Lauder to observe and comply with Part VB of The Trade Practices Act 1974 and not to engage in price exploitation in relation to the introduction of the new Goods and Services Tax introduced by A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999.
Core commitment
Estee Lauder hereby public commits to/that:
Generally observe and comply with Part VB of the Act;
Not engage in price exploitation by passing on the full net cost benefits it expects to achieve under ANTS;
Care will be taken to communicate the prices of its products in a manner which is neither misleading nor deceptive; and
Put in place an effective compliance program to monitor the effect of the New Tax System
