The Broken Hill Proprietary Company Limited is addressing the changes resulting from the implementation of the New Tax System. Consistent with this, BHP has prepared a Public Compliance Commitment in accordance with the ACCC's Price Exploitation Guidelines. The purpose of the Public Compliance Commitment s to confirm BHP's intention to comply with the Guidelines and not engage in price exploitation. This PCC outlines a number of steps BHP has taken to ensure compliance with Part VB of the Trade Practices Act 1974. It also intends to illustrate that BHP is actively developing and implementing business practices, processes and systems that will continue to ensure compliance.

The Broken Hill Propitary Company has completed it’s repricing associated with the New Tax System and has met the requirements of it’s Public Compliance Commitment agreement with the ACCC.
