ACCC Chairman speaks at The Mexico ForumOn 8 January 2013 ACCC Chairman Rod Sims spoke at The Mexico Forum, held in Mexico City. The new Mexican President is embarking on a pro competition agenda and Mr Sims was asked by his counterpart in Mexico to speak on his Australian National Competition Policy experience, as this has been widely cited as a good example for Mexico to follow. Mr Sims was the only external speaker at The Mexico Forum and his speech was received by an audience of Mexican Government Ministers and other senior Government officials, and senior staff from the OECD (including its Secretary General) and the World Bank. Other sessions at the forum were lead by Mexican Government Ministers on their reform programmes, followed by comments from local OECD and World Bank experts.
