Summary
Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) seeks authorisation to give effect to an agreement with Sportingbet Australia Pty Ltd (Sportingbet) and Sportingbet Holdings Limited (SHL) under which Sportingbet agrees to provide management services to RWWA in respect of fixed odds books and SHL acts as guarantor. RWWA has also sought interim authorisation to give effect to the agreement until the ACCC issues a final determination on the substantive applications for authorisation.
On 28 November 2012 the ACCC granted interim authorisation to RWWA to give effect to the agreement.
The ACCC is currently seeking submissions from interested parties on the substantive arrangements. Submissions should be made by 30 November 2012.
