ACCC review of State Water’s regulated charges 2014-2017
Background
Under the Water Charge (Infrastructure) Rules 2010 (WCIR) the ACCC is the regulator responsible for approving or determining State Water’s regulated charges to apply for the period 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2017. State Water was previously regulated by the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal(IPART).
Prior to May 2013 the ACCC will be running information sessions for State Water’s customers in their areas to explain the review process that will be conducted by the ACCC.

2. State Water application and consultation – May 2013
The ACCC will publish State Water’s application for approval/determination of its regulated charges here when it is received in May 2013 and will seek written submissions on the application. The submissions will be published here.
Information about public consultation forums on State Water's application will be published here when details are confirmed.
3. ACCC draft decision and consultation December 2014
After considering State Water’s application and any submissions the ACCC will release its draft decision by December 2013 and undertake public consultation on that draft decision.
Written submissions on the draft decision will also be sought at that time. The submissions will be published here. Information about public consultation forums on the ACCC's draft decision will be published here when details are confirmed.
4. Final decision – The ACCC will release its final approval/determination of State Waters regulated charges for 2014 to 2017 in June 2014.
