The ACCC has released a draft determination proposing to re-authorise the Finance Brokers Association of Australia Limited (FBAA) to enable it to continue to implement its disciplinary scheme (consisting of its Disciplinary Rules and certain clauses in its Constitution) (the Conduct) for a further 5 years. This conduct has been previously authorised since 2017 and is substantially unchanged in the current application.
The ACCC proposes to authorise the South Australian Department for Health and Wellbeing (the Department) to permit them to coordinate with various health service providers, in order to maximise the effectiveness of their response to the continued COVID-19 pandemic.
The ACCC has issued a final determination granting re-authorisation for arrangements which allow current and future members of Medicines Australia and the Generic and Biosimilar Medicines Association (the MA/GBMA Working Group) to continue to implement a coordinated strategy in relation to the supply of essential medicines and related devices in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Re-authorisation is granted with a condition that requires Medicines Australia to report any meetings, discussions, developments or decisions between MA/GBMA Working Group members to the ACCC.
The ACCC has granted re-authorisation with conditions to the Australia New Zealand Industrial Gas Association (ANZIGA), its members and other suppliers of medical oxygen notified to the ACCC. The authorisation enables these parties to exchange information and make and give effect to contracts, arrangements or understandings required to ensure security of supply of medical oxygen to hospitals and similar medical facilities in the event of significant demand increases or supply constraints that arise from the COVID-19 pandemic (the Conduct).
