On 23 June 2017, the ACCC released a determination granting authorisation to current and future members of Australian Writers’ Guild to collectively negotiate model agreements (also known as model terms of engagement), which can be used by current and future members of the Australian Writers’ Guild when contracting with producers of film, television and digital media.
The ACCC had previously authorised members of Australian Writers’ Guild to collectively negotiate agreements with members of Screen Producers Australia. Members of Australian Writers’ Guild are now authorised to collectively negotiate agreements with both members and non-members of Screen Producers Australia.
The ACCC granted authorisation until 30 June 2027.
